The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has released a short notification announcing a total of 109 vacancies across multiple disciplines under Executive Officer posts, along with one senior-level post of Director (Legal). Interested candidates first have to submit their online application forms to get themself enrolled for the recruitment process. The minimum age limit to apply for the ICAI Executive Officer Recruitment 2026 is 18 years, and the maximum age limit is 25 years as on 28th February 2026. The age relaxation will be given as per the rules.

Salary

Director (Legal): Pay Level 16 → Basic Pay ₹2,05,400 – ₹2,24,400 (approx. ₹54 lakhs p.a.)
All Executive Officer posts: Pay Level 10 → Basic Pay ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500 (approx. ₹15.51 lakhs p.a.)
Additional benefits: DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, NPS, LTC, Gratuity, etc.

Selection Process – Executive Officer

For Executive Officer posts (all domains), the selection process includes a Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by interview.

Mode: CBT with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) plus Descriptive questions.
Medium: English.
Total marks: 150 marks, duration 150 minutes.

Structure for Executive Officer CBT:

General Section – Part A (MCQ): 30 questions, 30 marks.
General Section – Part B (Descriptive): 2 questions, 30 marks.
Technical Section (MCQ): 90 questions, 90 marks.
Negative marking: 0.25 mark for each wrong MCQ answer; no negative marking for descriptive questions.

The technical syllabus differs by domain code (2602–2608) and covers domain-specific topics such as Accounting Standards, auditing, tax laws, company law, sustainability, economics, infrastructure engineering, and IT, as detailed in the annexure to the notification

Register / Login on the Portal
