Educational Qualification

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

b) Post Graduate degree in the following subjects :

Physics / Atmospheric Science / Space Physics / Meteorology / Earth System Sciences / Geophysics / Remote Sensing / Applied Chemistry with Physics / Atmospheric Science / Space Physics / Meteorology as major subject.

Any Specialization of Electronics Engineering / Communication Engineering / Optical Engineering / Photonics / Instrumentation Engineering.

b) Qualified in CSIR-UGC NET / GATE / JAM / JEST

Note

M.E./M.Tech degree should be with an aggregate minimum of 60% (average of all semesters) or equivalent CGPA/CPI grading from the recognized university

M.Sc. degree should be with an aggregate minimum of 65% (average of all semesters) or equivalent CGPA/CPI grading from the recognized university.

Scientist/Engineer ‘SD’

Ph.D. degree in Physics/ Atmospheric Sciences/ Meteorology/ Earth Science/ Environmental Science or Equivalent from a recognized university/ institutions. &

M.Sc. or MS in Physical Sciences/ Atmospheric Sciences/ Meteorology/ Earth Science/ Environmental Science in First class with an aggregate

Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’

M.E / M. Tech Degree in RF, Microwave, and Communication System Engineering in First class with an aggregate minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA/CPI from a recognized university/ institutions. &

B.E/ B. Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering in First class with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks or equivalent CGPA/CPI from a recognized university/ institutions.

Age Limit

Junior Research Fellow (JRF): Maximum 28 years.

Scientist/Engineer ‘SD’: Maximum 35 years.

Scientist/Engineer ‘SD’: Maximum 30 years.

NARL Selection Process

Junior Research Fellow (JRF): Shortlisting, Personal Interview, Document Verification, and Medical Examination.

Scientist/Engineer: Personal Interview, Document Verification, and Medical Examination.

NARL Salary Structure

Junior Research Fellow (JRF): For 1st and 2nd year Rs. 37,000/- per month and for the subsequent years Rs. 42,000/- per month

Scientist/Engineer ‘SD’: Rs. 67,700/- to Rs. 2,08,700/- per month

Scientist/Engineer ‘SD’: Rs. 56,100/- to Rs. 1,77,500/- per month
